I’m afraid of missing something important

IF I’m Afraid of Missing Something Important

IF

You’re afraid of missing something you’ll later wish you’d noticed.

A moment.
An event.
A memory.

And that fear adds pressure to an already full season.

CHECK FIRST

Pause and ask:

  • What does “missing something” actually mean to me?

  • Am I confusing quantity with meaning?

  • What moments already feel significant?

  • What does my student value most?

Not everything carries lifelong meaning.

THEN

Choose how to approach memory-making.

Option 1: Choose a few moments intentionally
You don’t need to hold everything for it to matter.

Option 2: Be present when you are there
Presence often matters more than attendance.

Option 3: Release the rest without guilt
Letting go creates space to enjoy what remains.

PAUSE

You won’t miss what truly matters by choosing wisely.

NOTES / REFLECTION

  • What moments do I want to remember?

  • What fears are driving my decisions?

  • What feels enough for this season?
