About Shawnell

I didn't set out to build a resource for senior parents. Senior year kind of built it for me.

When my youngest son was a senior, our house was in full motion. He was involved in everything — and as his mom, so was I. On top of the normal rhythm of life, I was knee-deep in senior mom duties, coordinating details, tracking deadlines, and trying to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks.

One afternoon, another mom and I were talking — really talking — about how much we were juggling. And somewhere in that conversation it hit me: the reason this feels so hard isn't because we're doing it wrong. It's because nobody ever showed us how it was supposed to go. If you don't know the questions to ask, you just don't know.

That moment stayed with me.

I was already creating digital designs and had been selling digital products on Etsy and Amazon for years. I knew how to take complex information and turn it into something clear, usable, and beautiful. So I did what felt natural — I started building the resource I wished I'd had.

I Made This For You

Not for the parent who has it all figured out. For the one who's Googling deadlines at 10pm. For the one carrying most of the mental load while trying to hold everything else together too. For the one who loves their senior deeply and just wants to make sure they don't miss anything that matters.

Whether you're a mom, a dad, a grandparent, or whoever shows up and does the planning in your family — this space was built with you in mind.

Senior year is a lot. But it doesn't have to feel like a surprise every single week.

What I Bring to the Table

I'm Shawnell Williams — a mom, a digital designer with over 20 years of experience, and someone who has walked through senior year more than once and come out the other side with a lot of hard-won clarity.

I combine real experience with a genuine love for design and organization. Every guide, planner, and resource on this site has been thoughtfully created — not just to give you information, but to give you a clear path forward when everything feels like it's happening at once.

I believe that when you're well-equipped, you're not just surviving the year. You're actually present for it. That's the goal. Not just getting through — but being there for the moments that matter while they're still happening.

And because I believe we were created for community and not to figure hard things out alone, this site is also rooted in that conviction — that a little guidance, offered with grace, can change everything.

This Is Just the Beginning

Senior year is where we start — but it's not where we stop.

My plan is to grow this space well beyond graduation day. Because once your senior walks across that stage, a whole new season begins — for them and for you. College transitions, trade school prep, entering the workforce, and yes, the quiet that follows when the house suddenly feels different — I plan to be here for all of it.

You don't just need a guide for senior year. You need someone who sticks around for what comes next.
