About Me

I’m Shawnell, and I create senior year planners and guides for parents who want clarity during one of the busiest seasons of high school.

For the past three years, I’ve been building and refining senior year planners based on real experience—my own and the experiences of navigating this season more than once.

This isn’t theory for me.

I’ve walked this road multiple times, and I know what it feels like to try to keep up with deadlines, decisions, and emotional transitions all at the same time.

Why I created this

I created Senior Year Guide because I was the parent looking for it.

I wanted something that would show me:

• what needed to be done
• when it needed to be done
• and how to stay organized without constantly feeling behind

But I couldn’t find anything that brought it all together in a simple, practical way.

So I built it myself.

Every planner and guide I create comes from real use—not just ideas.

It has been shaped, tested, and refined through actual senior year experiences so it reflects what parents actually need in real time, not just what looks good on paper.

Coming Soon: Hand-Sewn & Embroidered Keepsakes

When I’m not designing digital guides, you can usually find me at my sewing machine. I am currently working behind the scenes to expand my website to include a collection of physical, handmade goods that I sew entirely from scratch.

This upcoming launch will feature functional, everyday bags and travel gear, which I can personalize with custom embroidery to create the perfect milestone gift for a senior or a senior parent. I can even handcraft these bags using a favorite jersey or shirt to transform a cherished piece of clothing into a functional keepsake.

Alongside bags, I will be offering custom-sewn Senior Memory Quilts. These are beautifully crafted from a teenager's sports jerseys, special shirts, or anything else that holds meaning from their school years. I can add special embroidered designs—like their name or graduation year—and each quilt is completely customizable in size, ranging anywhere from a cozy lap/travel size to a full queen size. I can't wait to share these handmade creations with you soon!
